Where were you and what were you doing when you found out about the 9/11 attacks?
I was sleeping in before going to work when my spouse called me on the road and told me to turn on the tv. . .
and you?. . .

Sitting in front of my computer looking at Fark.com, refreshed the page and saw the report of the 1st plane hitting the WTC.

I was at work reading the General Questions Forum, deciding which threads should be moved to another forum like IMHO. Then freaking out.
Just like I’m doing right now (except for the freaking out part)

I was at work. I babysit for a preschool teacher and she ran in from the preschool next door to tell me that she had just gotten a phone call about it.
i was at work, when a patient came in and told me we had been bombed. i thought he was just a bit confused. i have no radio and no tv here, so i hadn’t heard anything about it. then another patient came in and said that new york was under attack. when he left, i hopped onto the internet, and just sat and cried for about the next 1/2 hour. i couldn’t believe this was happening, and was really shell-shocked.
I was driving to work and it was awful to not really know what was going on. My husband works for one of the affected airlines and I immediately became sick to my stomach. You hear first one plane, than another and another and than by the time I got to work they did not know where one United plane was and I slammed into a retaining wall in the parking lot at work. Now that airlines is laying him off with no severance pay BASTARDS!!
oops didn’t work
I was in my office doing paperwork when someone popped in and told me that an airplane had hit the WTC. We gathered around the radio to find out what had happened. When I heard the radio reports about the second tower and the Pentagon, I went home and numbly stared at the television news until 4AM.
