Where'd your username come from?

Guess! ;)

Q

Eons ago, while studying Julius Caesar in high school, a group of us decided Julia Squeezer was just incredibly funny word play.

It stuck and became my sarcastic nickname.

Hey! It was high school!

I don’t care if it WAS high school, it’s just as hilarious today! Great name, Julia!

I like Terra from Final Fantasy VI and feel that I identify with her, and I was the 1041st one to register at my main Internet board.

At one time I was an epic Prince fan. Probably one of the most obscure, officially-released Prince tracks is from Showgirls, called “ripopgodazippa”. It’s a classic Prince throw-away track, and I dig it, and it fits with the insanity of that movie. But I Am Not A Zipper.

I play in a polka band with my brother Yosh. Am fond of cabbage rolls.

MMM-MMMM Good, Stan!

And many thanks for the memories!

Now please talk to Yosh and y’all release The Last Polka on dvd, ja?

Thanks

Quasi

its my last name.

Thanks, Q. I think yours is pretty clever, too!

I own a painting called “The Nibbler” La cortadora is the (rough) translation in Spanish.

Which language, please?

Finnish

Ah, I had seen a guess for that but no confirmation.

Kiitos, silence of the clams (it’s the other Finnish word I know. I blame Nightwish. Oh, and Suomi, I know the word Suomi.)

Mine is a misspelling - udlænding would be the correct Danish term for a foreigner - but udlander seemed more logical (if anything in Danish can be so) when I first arrived. And it poignantly sums up how I feel sometimes, stuck between two languages and cultures and not really properly belonging to either.

I was at work on the overnight shift, and close to a dozen callers asked me for my name (an uncommon occurance), so finally, my coworker said, “Say it’s Shecky.” I logged on here for the first time about a day later.

No not a tennis player, it’s from Kipling’s Kim
