Good to hear that you are at least getting to eat some food. I hope the return of spring will help get everything moving correctly and let you keep improving. At least I gather you are out of the hospital and rehab and back at home? That must surely improve your spirits.
I’m out of the hospital and currently living with my brother. So technically I’m not “at home”, but it’s better than a hospital or rehab.
That 's great! I hope everything continues to improve.
Yeah, at your brother’s house, one assumes he’s not trying to kill you, unlike the hospital/rehab places.
Certainly there’s been some tension between us once or twice, but nothing that would rise to the level of murder. ![]()
Happy to hear you are making progress, tell your brother to play nice!
No worries. He’s been nothing but helpful during this whole ordeal, and continues to be so. I don’t know what I’d have done without him.
With all you’ve been through, that’s got to be a relief knowing there’s someone you can count on. I’m really glad to hear you are on the mend! Take care of yourself!
I’m in the ER. Hopefully it’s nothing.
Dammit. I hope they give you some pills and send you (safely!) home.
Damn, Dude, enough is enough.
Dang it. Come back and tell us what’s going on when you can.
The problem is that my legs are swollen. I called the doctor and he said go to the ER.
They took some blood and did an ultrasound of my legs. I’m waiting for the results.
Any idea what’s going on? I’m sorry you’re still having issues. They should just give you your own parking space.
On the way home. Compression stockings and Lasix.
Whew! I was afraid you’d have to go back into the hospital.
What kind of diet are you on right now?
Low fiber, high protein. Plus the TPN through a PICC line.
Hang in there, buddy!
Ugh, compression stockings. I’d get exhausted just from putting them on. Sending you good luck vibes and karma.
yeah, the one time I had to wear one – due to a sprained ankle – it was a trick and a half getting one put on.
While I was at OT today for my hand I heard another patient consulting with a physical therapist and discussing a great length how to find the correct fitting compression stockings. Apparently there’s a bit of an art to it to get the right size. From what I could hear, she had been in some kind of car accident and had actually developed compartment syndrome in her leg.
