Where's davidm? In the hospital recovering from a medical screwup.

That’s the point.
Did they give you a legit reason to not have anything but water?
Or, maybe you just feel to sick to eat?

I’ve been in hospitals a bunch.
If I can’t eat, timely and what I need, there will be repercussions.

They weren’t allowing anything by mouth because the scan for urological issues coincidentally showed what appeared to be a bowel obstruction. I knew this was not the case because I know what a real obstruction feels like and I know that scans of my rearranged insides often are misdiagnosed as an obstruction. I kept insisting on this but they wouldn’t allow anything by mouth until they got a surgical consult. My surgeon (the one who saved my life years ago) agreed and now I can eat. She said that with people like me you diagnose obstruction by symptons and bowel sounds, not by x-rays or scans.

I still have to deal with a bladder stone that’s too big to pass.

I’m home. I have to schedule an outpatient procedure ro remove the stone.

That’s good news! Waiting at home has to be more comfortable than being at the whims of the hospital staff.

Yes Especially since the kitchen could not get my low fiber diet right. Every meal consisted of me having to ask for somethibg different than what they sent me.
