Here, I seem to be from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building, probably renting office space from the Hidalgo Importing Company. Mostly I’m found in Arkham, since Miskatonic is one of the only universities in the US that has an Applied Paleontology program (I am the current holder of the Carl Denham chair there). Field seasons can be very interesting. By “interesting” I do mean “Oh God oh God we’re going to die!”
I have been participating on this group since the AOL days – that would be what, thirteen years or so. We are a rather hidebound group, resistant to change but always open to new (intelligent) voices. Or ones that are amusing. Otherwise, get off of my lawn.
I started a poll about three months ago, Where do you live?, which gives an idea of where people are from. (Though it’s not quite the same question: I’m from Australia, but I live in the U.S.)

Originally from Clearwater, FL. Moved back and forth from there to Tampa for a few years, then moved to Bangor, ME about a year ago. I have a feeling I’ll be picking up and moving again in another couple of years.

My best friend in basic was from Terre Haute. She’s the only reason I actually know how to pronounce it.
