Portlandian #4.
Then you should know it’s Portlander, not Portlandian. I’ve been here 32 years, third generation, and I’ve never heard Portlandian until recently. I don’t like this neologism when we already had a word for someone who lives here.
In-joke about a recent television series, dude. Someone needs to put back a Double Dead Guy.
Born and raised in Cleveland, OH. Lived in Isfahan, Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and currently back in a suburb of Cleveland.
Where are you guys?
I’m in Ottawa, Canada, but I was born in Motherwell.
Originally from Tucson, Arizona, where I was a member of the old AOL board. Then I moved to the DC suburbs in Virginia, then to the Atlanta burbs in Georgia, then the Cleveland burbs in Ohio and now the Boston burbs in Massachusetts for the last two years.
One of the reasons why Portlandian instead of Portlander sets my teeth on edge because it’s not a very funny TV show.
o.k…make that a Hair Of The Dog-Fred instead.
Grew up in Clayton (St. Louis) MO. Lived in San Francisco for 15 years, have lived in Portland for the last six.
Why are are the Portlanders replying to this thread? We should be outside today!
One of my faves. I’d go out and get some Fred now, but I’m saving all my beer money for the OBF this weekend.
I’ve lived in Sacramento for the last 20 yrs or so, but I was raised in the Bay Area. When people ask where I’m from I say Sacramento.
Currently I’m in Hamilton, a couple of miles away from Motherwell and just across the Clyde. Could be there in 5 mins if I had a car, 15 if I walk and take the train.
Hamilton, but I came here from Winnipeg.
Aw right.
Go visit ma wee cousins in Bellshill then would ye?
I’m from Hunter’s Bar.
Bellshill? Dunno about that. There are bad boys there.
Just looking on Google Maps street view of my Gran and Pop’s old place on Kilbrennan Drive in Hamilton, last house before the loch. Jesus, what a small world now.
Born and raised here in Sacramento, CA
I’d say that’s in Motherwell - it’s just over the river, loch and the M74 motorway. But yeah, small world. We go walking round the loch every now and then.
Well, their address was Hamilton… Anyway, yeah. Nice part of the world for sure.
