SQUEEE!!! Everyone’s adorable, including Ziggy. ![]()
They do not so much fly as plummet.
That’s still flying. I mean, it’s vertical and all, but it’s flying.
And, turtles, those are some mighty cute kittens. I think 3 and 4 are different, so you did get one of each.
Yes, but consider the enormous commercial possibilities should they succeed.
As God is my witness, I thought turtles could fly.
I took a picture of my cat Jacksitting in the open second story window this morning.

What a GORGEOUS picture! I also like the name Jack for a cat.
Holy cats! Cuteness! Want! WANT!
Lookit the precious mighty Ms. Whose a little cutenesses youse is. Yes youse is.
<Ahem>
ThelmaLou - I picked him up from a co-worker who was going to take him to the pound if I didn’t take him. I didn’t have a crate with me, so he went into a copier paper box. So he’s Jack in the Box. Here’s a pic of him as a kitten sitting on the porch rocker last Fall after I painted my house.

…and make Mario much smaller…
PS- Keep the ‘troublemaker’. You’ll never regret it.
Those are some cute kittens
Adorable. if I wasn’t at my physical space limit of three cats, I’d take one.
<ThelmaLou passes out from an overdose of sheer visual beauty. Revived, she stumbles to her feet and crawls back into the chair in front of her computer>
Omigod. You have quite a way with the camera, my friend. Those pictures are wonderful, and not just because of the everlasting perfection of the subject matter. If you have large/high-res versions of those pics, I would so much love to have them for my very own wallpaper. Please. If you PM me, I’ll send you my email address.
BTW, Comte, aren’t you that guy who predicts stuff?
ETA: Just looked at your other pics. Red was a great choice for that darling house. At least you’ll be able to find it in the snow!
ThelmaLou - Thanks for the compliment - I’m really not much of a photographer - I just got a couple lucky shots. I don’t I have hi-res copies. The porch pic was taken with a 15 mp point and shoot and the window pic was taken this morning with my phone. I then just pasted them into photobucket and deleted them from my camera/phone.
You must’ve missed the whole “help me decide what color to paint my house” thread. We do the roof this Fall.
I took the St. Germain name from the series of vampire books by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, who patterned the titular character after the historical figure. I started as StG on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer boards in '97.

About an hour after getting home last night, it occurred to me that I hadn’t seen my cat since I came in. Because he’s fifteen years old now, I am constantly aware of the fact that despite his seeming good health, the odds are that he’s not going to be with me much longer. So if he doesn’t greet me when I get home, I start to worry that maybe he’s unable to.
I searched the whole damn house. Twice. Then, completely by accident when I was on my way to the bathroom, I found Khan’s new hiding place.
That cat is an asshole. But not quite as much of one as his late brother, who did his level best to get right in the middle of whatever I was doing.
Now it’s my turn for “My kitten is missing”. Jack, the cat I photographed on 9/4, is missing. He’s been MIA for almost a week. He is primarily a house cat, occasionally venturing about 10’ from the back door to sit on the patio table. Never any farther.
I’ve looked everywhere for him - throughout the house, even in rooms I know have been shut up. Under the back porch, under the house, in the attic. I even looked in the rafters above the covered front porch (and saw a shed snake skin hanging from the rafters! ). I even looked in the crisper drawer in the refrigerator, even though I knew there was no way he got in there. I thought about him possibly being attacked by my several large dogs - they’re good with cats, but still - things happen. But in the rare event that the dogs have killed something (like the possum in the yard this week), they leave the body alone. And with two german shepherds, a doberman, a giant schnauzer, a standard poodle and an english setter, coyotes aren’t coming in my fenced yard. I’ve been down to the barn twice a day, and called for him there, even though he’s never been down that far. I’ve walked the road and my pastures looking for his body.
Strangely, my gray cat Spike has been hanging out in the house all week, when normally he’d split his time between the house and barn. He’s scarcely moving from the kitchen chair the Jack likes to sit on. I keep hoping for some “Timmy’s in the well” signs from any of the animals, but no such luck.
I’m just so worried and I can’t get him off my mind. I’d honestly rather know he was dead then not find any trace of him.

StGermain, that truly sucks. Wishing you a happy resolution soon! (and I completely understand the agony of not knowing…)
