Where's the best hamburger you have ever eaten?

Stella’s in Bellevue, NE. It’s just down Galvin from the base, basically a converted shack. The beer is cheep American, and ice cold, the burgers are greasy slabs of heaven on a bun. Now I’m hungry.

Mcnenamy’s Hamburger Haven (Rt 138, N. Easton MA). Their burgers are devive. Unfotunately, they serve them on white wonder bread!

Lick’sRestaurant right here in good ol’ T.O, the thing is huge, and yummeee

Crystal Guy I think that place use to be called campisi’s sp? It was a greek restaurant in the 60’s and 70’s.

Yours truly,
aha

The best ever is at the Sport-X in Salt Lake City, UT (if James is still cooking). Actually, all the food there is really good, especially breakfast (although a sports bar with pool tables and video games is an odd place to eat breakfast).

A close runner-up is Char-Grill in Raleigh, NC.

White Rose System - Highland Park, New Jersey.
Stewart’s California Cheeseburger’s are pretty damn good too.

I am not deliciously saucy.

The Red Hawk bar and grill in downtown Ann Arbor, MI. Not the biggest or most impressive burger i’ve ever seen, but man are they good!

are fuddruckers veggie burgers?

RM… The ones I eat are… But don’t worry, they have the real thing too…grease and fat and cholesterol, oh my

Girlbysea (AKA: ChiefScott’s GBS)

Kincaid’s in Fort Worth, TX
JC’s Burger House in Plano, TX

In-n-Out in So. Cal.

Fuddrucker’s as well.

Peace.

Here in New Brunswick, Canada, Irving has their Big Stop restauraunt chain, attached to some service stations. Kinda like a trucker’s spot, with a little class.
They’re notorious for good prices and HUGE servings. Anyways, the burger I always get there is prob’ly a 1/2 lb. burger, with onion, tomato and lettuce, topped with HP Steak Sauce, and sided with a heapin’ helpin’ of fries. I don’t know if this one compares with the ones you guys are describing, but it’s definitely among the best I’ve tried. the HP Steak Sauce, I think, is what does it for me… ::DROOL::

I don’t suffer from insanity…
I enjoy every minute of it!

Definitely Kincaid’s in Fort Worth. And Snuffer’s in Dallas. (My stomach is now growling, thank you all very much!)

Crystalguy:

Only a couple of strip shopping centers there now. And the saddest thing of all - they tore down the Dr Pepper building a few years ago. What a shame.

No kidding. I lived in Durango for almost 18 years. I’ve eaten at Old Tymer’s too, but can’t honestly recall what I ate there.

For greasy hamburgers, I always thought it was hard to beat the burgers at the Rocket. I used to love to get one between movies.

Drop me a line sometime with other Durango memories and/or comments if you wish.

A note on The White Rose System.

A couple of years ago I purchased a book titled “Baked Potatotes” a pot smokers guide to movie veiwing.

The last page of the book rated munchies/food joints, the authors must have been from the NJ area, White Rose System was #1 across the board.

I am not deliciously saucy.

Thanks, Redwing! I’d forgotten that place. Yep! Heaven on a bun. Nuummmmyy!!!
<slight thread hi-jack,When were you there? We just moved back from there in '97.>

You sing in my consciousness like a counterpoint to my life.

Hey Chief, here in Alpharetta GA, Fudds now has a one pounder!

My favorite has to be either Rheas Hamburgers in Roswell, GA or Goldie’s Chargrilled Burgers in Tulsa, OK.

Mmmmm mmm!

White Castle, hands down.

After that, Timbuktu in Palatine.

Quit laughing! I LOVE sliders!

White Castle? Sliders? We used to call 'em murder burgers! Although, after closing a bar down, there’s almost nothing better, except maybe a Waffle House.

Hey, all you Texas people. No one’s going to mention Al’s Hamburgers in Arlington Tx? Yummmm Yum!

Damn, dude, I knew you were gonna’ beat me to this. I have to second this one. Best burgers ever. Especially after a hard day on the river drinking beer ;).
