And, of course, Old Tom actually got his hands on the ring (which according to Gandalf has no power over him, exactly opposite to a Rinwraith), and gave it back. And the fact that the oldest elves remember Bombadil being around way back when before Men even came on the scene, and the fact that Gandalf goes to visit Tom at the end of the trilogy, after the Witch-King is destroyed.
I think it’s safe to say that the author of that page is just having a fun one on us. As, most likely, are the folks who claim that Bombadil is actually Illuvitar Himself, or that Gandalf is Manwe.
