One of the larger cats, based on stories from African/Asiatic hunting and predator removal. I’d like this comfirmed, but one of the reasons hippo attacks are deadly is that they occur in and around the water, where an ordinarily survivable injury can result in drowning.
Another reason I’m picking a Great Cat is that, unlike cape buffalo, crocs, rhinos, etc…, they often go out of their way to attack multiple people during a charge, as opposed ‘just’ charging in a straight line and ruining the day of anyone in the path. Wounded leopards in particular, are known for bringing enough hate for everyone in the area, not just the guy directly in front of them. Hard to believe the stories when you get close to one in the flesh, and see just how small they are, but there you go.
If arms are allowed, then it’s a human with a repeating firearm, of course.
My guess is that would be a human female. She can reduce a man to a little puddle on the floor with just a few words.
I know because I have been puddled several times and it feels terrible.

I think this is an important point.
Hippos and elephants are not going to be motivated to kill humans like a hungry large cat would be. Cats eat people, hippos and elephants don’t.
However, I think the quickest kill would be if all four men were carrying off a Grizzly cub and they ran into mom.
