Which concept has each vernacular language come to represent in today's world?

Seriously, just come back to chat with us, and me. I’m learning Latin and I love how it helps me understand words and enjoy literature.

I used to have a polyglot friend, but he died on his 75th birthday. I’d love another polyglot friend. I love words and languages as well.

I have wierd facts available as a lure.

Ask me how Javalina were named. Go ahead, just do it. *

I’m a total font of useless infromation.

*The Romans hunted pigs with “javalins” Spanish was evolved from Latin. Those ugly beasts are not pigs at all, but the name moved with the people.

ILike: I don’t understand: the Amish are Anabaptists. How is their language threatened by Anabaptists?

Well put.

Russian is a language of contretemps. Don’t believe me? Just put three or more russians in a room and see what happens.

German is what machines would speak, if machines could speak.

French is what all lawyers should be required to speak. Never a straight answer from one of them.

Italian is what should be spoken in all movies, cafes, restaurants and bars. Hell all public spaces.

Hebrew, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish and Chinese should be spoken as sign languages.

English should be spoken in a thick Scottish brogue.

We already had that conversation, and not so long ago…

Gracias, Nava.
