Many of you were kind enough to respond to my other question about which books that you hated reading for class (if you’re reading this and haven’t answered that question please feel free to head to that thread when you’re finished here). Since turnabout is fair play: which books did you have to read for class that you actually like reading?
I enjoyed “Julius Caesar” and “Macbeth.” I enjoyed the contemporary English translation of “Troilus and Criseyde” by Chaucer; I also liked “The Miller’s Tale.” (again, the contemporary translation of it).
I actually liked “A Separate Peace” better than a lot of you did, but I must admit that I had an excellent teacher for that class (admittedly I didn’t like the story as much as he did, but I liked the way he taught it).
I enjoyed “The Visit” by Frederich Durrenmaat.
SO what stories did you read for your class assignments that you actually liked?
