I feel more like John Adams, the one who can’t stand not following principles and therefore gets stuck with all the jobs nobody else wants to touch 
Franklin for me. I’m OK with that; he seemed less hung up than a lot of them.

I’m sorry I went for the joke “Open up a window! Sit down, John, sit down!,” b/c Franklin was one hell of a writer and probably a fun guy. Sort of the W of his day – you’d want to have a beer (or several) with him. OK, kidding on that comparison (spits onto floor in disgust), but, still, not inapt as an analogy.
That’s not fair – Adams was a great writer probably only hurt by his association with ol Ez “crackpot” Pound. Good lawyer, though, and he got a whole song written about him.
