Our old TV is giving indications of wanting to go into a well-deserved retirement. Maybe there are a couple of more years in it. By that time, I’m hoping that plasma and LCD monitors will come down in price a bit. It’s not too early, I think, to start arguing with Mr. Pug about which type we want. I love a clear, crisp picture but I don’t know which is the better choice. When we go to Costco and I gaze longingly at both types, it seems to me that the LCD is the better of the two, but that might depend on who tuned 'em up that day (or whatever).
Which has the better image?
I s’pect that there is not going to be a clear-cut answer to this question, so I’m going to let the folks in IMHO voice their opinions on the topic.

apparently there are several new flat panel factories coming online in the spring and summer, and prices will have dropped significantly by fall (this is heard through the grapevine, so no cite, sorry)
