If one were to compare entrance requirements for medical schools or related disciplines such as Optometry, Podiatry, Dentistry etc., which one would be the least demanding ie. easiest to get in to? How about in english-speaking countries outside Canada and the US?
In the US, you don’t apply to a school for a certain discipline. You apply to medical school, and after that you do your residency. Assuming you knew that and you were wondering about which residency program is easiest to get into, I’d say that it’s hard to say. From what I’ve heard from my doctor friends, different specialties go into vogue at different times. Derm is supposed to be pretty hot right now, as is plastic surgery. General practitioner is probably the safest bet.
Dental school is separate from medical school, so I can’t say anything about that.
Entrance requirements differ somewhat among schools in a given field, but this report might narrow things down a bit.
Excellent, thanks.
