Great recommendation. And her novellas too (All Seated On The Ground is one I remember particularly). One thing about Willis - she seems to have two creative streams - light-hearted, whimsical for the first, punch-you-in-the-gut emotion for the second. I like both, but it’s worth checking out which you have in your hand before starting to read. “To Say Nothing Of The Dog” is a very fine example of the ‘whimsical’ side though.

I appreciate it! Apparently my local library mildly sucks in the interesting ebook category mind you (a shame, because it’s always been brilliant in the dead tree category) and is a Willis-free zone - but I did take the poke and check myself out a nice historical mystery to while away the evenings
