“Babe” always does it to me. “If I could make a perfect day for you…”
I consider “Babe” to be one of the very few movies that is absolutely perfect in every way.

Bump!
Simply because I want to cry.
Want to make something of it?!?
Oh hells yes. This movie was a surprise in the squeeze your heart out kinda way.
Many many movies including, yes, copiously @ Jessie’s song in Toy Story 2. Even, for some reason, the re-remake of Little Women with Winona Ryder (??), which had my then-new girlfriend looking at me in that dark theater very suspiciously. But the first movie I cried pretty much continuously thru was Robin and Marian.
Even worse is that she dies because of him. His pride is what kept them from surviving. As rotten as his aunt was, she didn’t kick them out. He left on his own and took his sister with him, leading to her death. I didn’t even cry for this movie. I felt like throwing up more than crying. I was too stunned to cry.
I’d heard it was sad going into it, but hoooooly shit, it is light years beyond sad.
I’m not sure crying is the right word but after watching KPAX again I find it has more emotional punch. I think it’s because I fully understand what is going on and who is affected by the main character. I would definitely recommend it be seen at least twice.
I cried every single time he spoke to his wife, or looked at a picture of her. Every single time. And when we - my girlfriend and I - got into bed I cried some more.
