Congrats on the new car. I loved my Mustang to bits when I had her. I usually tell people to buy 1-year old cars, and thought your used deal sounded a bit stale, so I’m glad you went with new. My used car deal had 5 more years on a bumper-to-bumper warranty, which was a selling point two years later when I sold her after moving into the City. I sold her for the same price I bought her for, two years earlier. I’m a good negotiator.

Congratulations and welcome to the family. You won’t regret getting the GT. The six is nice, don’t get me wrong, but there is something about the roar when you start the V8 that just makes the hair on my arms stand up.
If you are going to get a Mustang, it should be a Shelby GT500. Otherwise, there is really no point.
