I thought that at first, but in TGTBATU, Maria does have a few lines and a name. Still not exactly a bulwark of feminist filmmaking, but she does talk.
Seen them all and voted for Tarantino’s, but I could be swayed to pick Shawshank or Good, Bad, Ugly.
I voted for
fresh fish! fresh fish! fresh fish! fresh fish!
Okay, maybe an obscure reference.
You voted for Gilligan’s Island?
movie fresh fish! fresh fish! fresh fish! fresh fish! fresh fish! - Google Search!
And FTR my vote is for Mary Ann.
Hmm. I have also only seen three of these…
“Godfather” was long and boring and cluttered up by Marlon Brando mumbling his way through his part.
“Dark Knight” was poorly acted, hard to follow, and generally pointless.
I liked “12 Angry Men” pretty well. So it gets my vote kinda by default.

There’s a doctoral dissertation in analyzing the skew and bias on IMDb’s ranking and rating systems. Maybe more than one.
One of the most useful resources on the net - IMVHO, the WWW’s first killer app - but as for what the other users think, especially in aggregate… WTFC.
Yep, any day. I don’t really see why people like Shawshank Redemption. I mean, it’s a nice little story and its good enough to get 4/5 stars on my NetFlix list, but there are hundreds of movies that I rated with 5/5.
That said, I still feel that Return of the King is actually the weakest of the three LOTR movies. After all these years, Fellowship is the one I still enjoy watching.
And they all get beaten out by Godfather for my vote.
Lol, I stand corrected!

Top Three… and relatively close
The Godfather
The Godfather, Pt. II
Pulp Fiction
The Godfathers deserve every bit of the overhype they get.
Which, by definition I spose, makes them not overhyped. Whatever.
I’ve seen all of these except for TGTBATU, and I went with Pulp Fiction. The most interesting part to me, as I thought about it, is that I seriously considered voting for ROTK. I think it’s an objectively worse movie than several on the list, and it probably wouldn’t make my top 100 based on straight quality, but favorite is much more subjective. I still leave ROTK on when TNT’s showing it on a lazy Sunday afternoon several times a year, even though I’ve probably seen it a hundred times by now.
The Dark Knight had a Ledger/perfect moment thing going on, and I don’t think it holds up super well over time, but none of the other nine on this list surprise me given how the list was put together.
I’ve seen all of these, and didn’t dislike any of them, but only a couple would be in my personal top 25: both Godfathers, Pulp Fiction, TGTBATU, and possibly 12 Angry Men (although it works better as a stage play). The rest were good, but not great.
The list is entirely lacking historical perspective though - no Casablanca, Citizen Kane, All About Eve? Pshaw.
Anyway I voted for the correct answer, which is The Godfather.
The complementary poll - your least favorite - might be interesting (I wouldn’t assume DK will win that). Shawshank, for example, is to me by far the most mediocre on that list. And perhaps in the top 250.
I’d be all about Fight Club on that one. Enjoyable movie, but less clever by half than it seems to think it is.
I agree that it’s the least accomplished or interesting film of the top 10, but it’s still far from mediocre and I can think of 10 in the top 50 alone that are considerably worse.
