Which U.S. cities HAVE NOT had TV series set in them?

Yes, it looks like San Antonio is the winner.

There seems to be a bias against setting series in Texas, doesn’t it? There are only 5 cities on the list we haven’t IDed shows for, and three of them are in Texas.

Nickelodeon’s “The Brothers Garcia” is set in San Antonio.

San Jose gets no respect. #10 and nothing but a song. :frowning:

Well, there’s always the SNL skit “Wake Up Wakefield,” which was set in the fictional Wakefield Middle School in San Jose (and featured Maya Rudolph and Rachel Dratch).

“Brothers Garcia” ran for four years, and I’d call Nick a major network, so yeah, I agree it’s San Jose (Maya Rudolph and Rachel Dratch don’t count for anything in my book)

Even #111 Des Moines, IA had the first season of the '84 sitcom Double Trouble

Nobody knows how to get there.

Too bad it was such a turkey, because unless someone adapts Bill Bryson’s Thunderbolt Kid, DSM ain’t gettin’ another chance.

Should be a natural the next time Hollywood execs get excited to do a show about a frigid white-collar company town with no clear ethnic identity.

So, is Sanna Zay the winner? What do we get? I’ll accept the prize on behalf of my fellow Jose-heads.

You should have grown up in the part of town I did. I didn’t learn about vowels until I was 12.

#30: Oklahoma City, Saving Grace*

*Assuming “major network” status for USA network (or is it on FX?)

Is there one for St. Paul?

Those are city limits populations.

#32: Tucson, Greetings From Tucson

Wasn’t there a series set in Rhode Island where the side kick from MASH was a vet or a doctor or something?

If you’re thinking of Trapper John, MD, that was set in San Francisco.

Speaking of Rochester, what about Syracuse? It might only be around half as large as Rochester but it has at least as much of a big-city feel to it, with rows and rows of crumbling victorian housing, a huge central downtown, and tons of ethnic enclaves.

No I may have the wrong bloke(I didn’t mean the actual character was the one from MASH) but it definitely wasn’t set in SF,I am almost certain that the place was Rhode Island ,if it wasn’t it was somewhere in that area of the U.S.

I wish I hadn’t of brought it up now cos its driving me crackers.

“AfterMASH”?

“WALTE*R”?

But both were set in the Midwest, AFAIK.
