Looking forward to hear from you soon.
Thanking You.

Presumably you have already checked the obvious online sources? For a reasonable summary look at The Complete University Guide(or any of the others out there). This ranks Imperial #3 (after Oxbridge), St Andrews #7 and York #8. For a chance of getting info from someone who has actually been there try one of the specialist forums like The Student Room.

On a general note - I am not a CS specialist - they are all well respected institutions but for any scientific discipline Imperial is normally up at the top of the tree.

Since the answers to this question are subjective, I have moved the thread from GQ to IMHO.

I did my MSc in computer science in the UK, and at that time (2006), the following were generally well-regarded:

Imperial College (but before you apply, check their tution fees…)
Oxford
Cambridge
QMUL
Manchester
York
St. Andrews
King’s College, London
Edinburgh
Glasgow

I chose QMUL for various reasons, not least of which was the scholarship they were willing to offer me, and the fact that it was in London. Haven’t had to regret my choice, though I would obviously have liked to go to Imperial, just for the bragging rights.

You’re not from Liverpool are you?

Edinburgh is worth a look - If you take a close look at the link put up by MarcusF and Devorin, you’ll see their RAE score (the only category that really matters) was very high - 3.2 from a massive staff submission. Their student satisfaction is the lowest in the top 20, ie the students are the most miserable.

Ask anyone here with an advanced degree and they’ll tell you that misery played a huge and important role in their studies. So Edinburgh’s package of research excellence and misery seems hard to beat. Lovely city as well.

Ah, the cynicism. You can’t beat it.
