Which way is she going? Settle this argument!

Which way is the dancer spinning?
And which foot is she spinning on?

Typo Knig and I were actually arguing. I could not believe that he did not see her spinning the same way I did. When I saw, quite clearly, that she was facing away, he insisted she was facing forward and vice versa.

Of note: Typo Knig is left-handed and I’m a righty. Supposedly this explains it all.

I don’t care. He’s still wrong.

Discussed extensively in GQ:
Right vs left Brain optical illusion

Counter-clockwise on her right foot at first but if I look away and then look back it is switched…I wonder what that means…

So it is. Dunno how I missed that one!

If a mod happens to stumble in, this can be closed.

Oh, and Typo is still wrong

I saw her spinning clockwise while loading, then she’d jump and turn the other way and would only go counter-clockwise. Now she’s going clockwise again.

Crazy.

Jeez, that’s trippy! Every time I looked off to the side of the page she started spinning the other way.

After an hour of painful concentration, I can make her flip directions at will.

I saw her going clockwise at first.

Clockwise first, but it keeps switching. Ow.

… she switches?

For me she’s just going around and around clockwise.

Oh, ow, my brain…

(And now I kinda want to see what happens when she tries to walk in a straight line afterwards.)

I’ve got her going clockwise on her left foot. I’m staring at her trying to make her go the other way, but I’m damned if I can see how I can make her do that, when she’s clearly so content with spinning around clockwise until the end of time.

I wish my boobs were as perky as hers.

To me she started out anti clockwise, but now she switches seemingly out of my control.

Is it just me, or does she seem to move more awkward when she moves anti-clockwise? Like her whole body is leaning over more then?

Left foot and clockwise. I’m amazed that anyone sees it differently… Maybe I don’t have a left brain?

Ooops she changed!

Yep, me too. Except I saw her going counter-clockwise at first. Then I mentally flipped her and she started to go clockwise. It’s like looking at a 3d cube, I can make it face what ever direction I want. At one point I could have sworn I saw her smoking a cigarette.

I see it the same way but I couldn’t get it to flip (like I can with most optical illusions). I wonder what THAT means!

She goes clockwise and I can’t make her switch at all. When Himself gets out of the shower I’m dying to find out what he sees.

She goes clockwise when I look at her, but counter-clockwise when I looked at the lists.

I finally got her to switch, after fifteen minutes of staring and looking away and moving my head forward and then back. Then she promptly switched back again.

This is ridiculous. I see her counter-clockwise, my wife sees her clockwise, and neither of us can figure out how in the hell the other is seeing it the opposite way. I can’t make her flip no matter how hard I try.

Nevermind. After reading the other thread and my wife doing some Photoshop still shot analysis, we are both able to see it the other way now. Weird stuff.
