But that isn’t the funny part. The last syllable (-olf) is fairly common in quite a few Scandinavian names, so that isn’t the funny part either. The reason Norwegians are laughing their asses off on social media is that the first syllable (Fjot-) is rather similar to “fjott”, which means “dork”. Imagine Tim McVeigh legally changing his name to Dowk-rick Smith.
