The Unborn Victims of Violence Act as now worded, as I understand it, would make it a crime if a fetus is killed during the commission of a federal crime of violence. If it’s changed to where harming the fetus during a state crime assault is a federal crime UVVA is going to have a really tough time against a constitutional challenge. It might anyway.
