White wine sauce and mince?

Hey all - apologies, this is pretty dull…

I have some white wine sauce left over from tonight, and some beef mince defrosting for tomorrow. They don’t seem like naturally wedded ingredients, but any ideas for a dish where I could use both together? Instinctively the idea of both together seems gross - but you never know…

Thanks in advance…

White wine is often used in beef stroganoff recipes. Could you make it into a version of that?

They work fine together, I do it fairly regularly. In fact, it’s the basis of a Bolognese Sauce.

Truly, you can substitute white wine for red in almost anything. It tends to produce a lighter style of sauce, and that’s not a bad thing at all.

I don’t know what your ‘white wine sauce’ consists of. But you could make something like Swedish meatballs, mix with this sauce and serve over noodles. A touch of sherry in a sauce is not uncommon and can make the difference between good and very good.

Oops, I missed the ‘sauce’ part. Still, though, I would guess it would work just fine with the mnce.

That came to mind except for not knowing the type of sauce. I’d probably find some vegetable to serve with the white wine sauce and do something else with the mince.

However one possibility that probably shouldn’t be tried is a non-traditional English Trifle a la Rachel Green.
