White Wolf (makers of Vampire: The Masqeurade, Mummy: The Resurection, Mage: The Ascention, and coming soon Blob: The Amorphous) is merging with CCP (makers of EVE Online - spoace based MMORPG).

Looks like this means a World of Darkness MMORPG and Pen-and-Paper EVE products (along with the inevitable EVE collectable card game)

The Eve CCG has been in talks for a while, it may already have begun printing, I don’t remember.
I think it’s an interesting marriage. CCP is a very cool company with their iceland offices existing like a mini-Googleplex. They’ve got gourmet chefs for their employees and other such benefits. The Eve MMO is a lot of fun and it’s one I’ve played on and off for a few years.
I was never too big on White Wolf games (the vampire genre never really clicked with me) but I see the strength here to build a company possible able to withstand against Wizards of the Coast. Especially given WotC’s recent trip into the MMO world with D&D Online…
I wouldn’t have predicted it, but the merger doesn’t immediately strike me as stupid.
