Okay, what movies can you name that were sampled in White Zombie songs?
Unforttunately, I can’t name any of the song tittles, because my copy of Astrocreep is a tape I made from a friends, but on that, I can at least recognize a bit from Faster Pussy Cat, Kill Kill!!, and I know ** Night of the Living Dead** is sampled in some of their songs as well. Anyone know more?
From “Welcome to Planet MotherFucker” you get:
“you have to open graves to find girls to fall in love with?” and some long quote that starts about 5:43 into the song. There are a few others that are really short.
“Knuckle Duster” is 4(?) different quotes and 24 seconds long including:
<something in spanish>
“you know how fast we can go”
<what sounds like a radio changing stations>
“these are the facts as we know it, there is an epedimic of mass murder being commited by a virtual army of unidentified assasins”
In “Cosmic Monsters Inc.” we get what seems like a Batman TV series quote at the begining with “Meanwhile, behind the facade of this innocent looking bookstore…”
There are more from the first album, but I got more important stuff to do than this Maybe later.

Minor nitpick, La Sexorcisto is not WZ’s first album. They have 3 other full lengths previous to that, and a couple of 7 inches. Sorry, I’m a White Zombie geek.
“Do you have to open graves to find girls to fall in love with?” is from The Mummy (the Boris Karloff one, not the more recent remake).
There’s a sample from the old Batman TV show that says something like “Meanwhile, at this innocent-looking bookstore…”
“these are the facts as we know it, there is an epedimic of mass murder being commited by a virtual army of unidentified assasins” is from Night of the Living Dead.
“Let’s take the back door” is from Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!
Make Them Die Slowly - released 1989, Caroline Records - CAROL1457) I still see this one at some of the smaller chain record stores, and most indy record stores. Not a bad album. A definate bridge from their earlier punk sound to the metal sound they are known for.
Psychohead Blowout - *released 1987, label unknown (to me at least), re-released 1988, Caroline Records - CAROL1350) - I only have seen this on vinal, at some indy record shops, and not in years. More of an 80s DIY punk sound.
Soul Crusher - * released 1986 or 85, I’m not sure of the label* - I’ve only seen it once, on vinal, and I bought it. Low budget recording, not all that great.
God of Thunder - LIve EP from 1989 - I’m not sure if this is a bootleg or import or official American release. Its only on vinal to my knowledge, I’ve seen it around, but not in a while. Not a bad recording, only a couple of songs.
Kill the Pigs - 7 inch single, Pre-1988 - My personal Holy Grail of WZ recordings. I’ve never heard it, never seen it, no one I know ever has. The only reason I know it exists is because of a flyer for it in either Soul Crusher or Psychohead blowout.
Also, if you are into surf-rock, White Zombies former bassest Sean Yseult has a band called Famous Monsters that is kinda an evil surf rock sound.
There are numerous bootleg live CDs and videos, but I don’t really like bootlegs, I only buy ones for shows I’ve been to, if at all. I’ll gladly record any of these onto cassette for you if you are interested, most of them are on vinal, and I don’t have a CD burner for the ones on disk.
blur: thanks for the offer, but I have enough music lying around that I never listen to that it seems kinda pointless to have you go to all that trouble. I didn’t know White Zombie used to be punk. I’ve never been much of a punk fan, but I sure do like their metal stuff.
No problem, its actually not all that great. I bought most of it all at once, then once I had the collection going, I had to buy the ones I see around to complete the collection.
What’s the one that says “I remember she told me 'I’m already dead…already dead…already dead.”
Is that one of the Manson Family talking about the Manson murders?
It seemed like not too long ago I caught something on Discovery channel about the Manson Family, and it had interviews. When one of the women interviewed was talking about the killings, I would swear that she sounded just like the quote in the White Zombie song.
