When have CTer types ever let the facts get in the way of a good story?? It won’t make any difference. Still, maybe the Birthers will STFU about this for a while now, as they feverishly try and spin out a new tale (or perhaps tail) of intrigue, cover-up and conspiracy…perhaps involving aliens, Jews and Communist plots, and finally tying it in rather firmly with the moon landing hoax, JFK assassination plots and magic bullets, and of course 9/11…

And the PDF format they released it in LOOKS really bad – many of the words have white backgrounds that contrast with the green pattern of the form itself, making it look like the words were crudely pasted in. I’ve seen this effect on a number of PDF files I’ve created from scans, so I know it happens all the time, but I bet there are going to be people in news article comments and the like complaining that it’s an “obvious” fake because of that. They should have released it as a straight scan instead of converting to PDF.

It’s obviously in book form with a frame over the original document signed by his mother and doctor. There is something to the left that is blocked by the screen and it’s not the certificate next to his in the book.

Birthers will never, ever be convinced even if God himself appeared in the skies and proclaimed Obama was born in Hawaii. You could give them a time machine and it wouldn’t help.
Those people will never, ever vote for Obama. There is zero reason to appease them on this count or even try.
What the birthers did do was paint their side of the political spectrum as having a fair number of crackpots. Yes, all sides have crackpots but these folk are vocal, getting press time and a serious candidate for president was toeing-that-line with them.
Obama should have let the loony fringe on the other side rant and rave. It could only help push voters his way.
I feel disappointed about this - it’s been such fun mocking the birthers, and I have to think that their hysteria was politically good for Obama.
I just looked at the Yahoo page linked in the OP, and there are over 22,000 comments so far. When it gets that high, you have to wonder what’s the point of commenting.

Her father was named Stanley and wanted a son. When he didn’t get one, he somehow prevailed upon his wife to name their daughter Stanley. I don’t think I’ll ever understand that one.

Looks like it is to me. The columns on Obama’s certificates are numbered anyways, and none are missing, so whatever the boxes are to the left, they aren’t part of Obama’s information.

You can give a boy’s name to a girl in the USA? I dont think so. But you can in Kenya. And the Obama Administration has made every effort not to release Obama’s mother birth certificate. How come? What do they have to hide?
Allowing Trump to claim he accomplished this is yet another reason I find the timing to be questionable politically.
You call that a long form birth certificate? Looks nothing like a real one would look like. To be sure, you need to look at the Complete Extra Addendum of Live Birth for actual proof. Why won’t Obama release it? What is he hiding?
Got to disagree. This was a good move on the WH’s part. The problem with crap like the birther thing is that it has a way of becoming a meme in a manner that important issues do not. It sticks in the back of people’s minds and rots there. This should shut up all but the looniest of the loons, and THAT will paint them more brightly for what they are than ever before.
Personally I think it’s brilliant.
This will wind the crazies up to eleven, and people will finally see how they will not be happy until the President releases documentation that his is not, indeed, black.
