Who are the women who "star" in Internet porn?

Apparently so - there’s a good article about the kids of porn actors and how they found out here: http://jezebel.com/this-is-how-porn-affects-the-children-of-adult-film-act-1669882500

ETA - aahh, should’ve finished reading the thread first! sorry misselizabeth!

Yeah it’s actually really hard to find amateur-ish porn starring a girl you know in real life… trust me I’ve tried; my wife has a few hot friends/relatives ;). For starters, how do you search? - they’d sure as hell not use their real names in the movies… and even if they did they’d use a real first name at most. How many thousand videos of a girl named “samantha” would I have to watch to find the particular one I’m interested in… and add to that the already mentioned difficulty in recognizing the person due to make-up/hair/age/etc…

You also can’t always assume that the women pictured - especially in the very common “nude selfie” genre - knowingly shared their photos. Unfortunately, there’s such a thing as “revenge porn”.

I’m imagining a more enlightened society than the United States. “Schoolchildren” is probably a bad choice of words. I am not qualified to judge when such education should begin, but in the UK, there are live nude models to teach sexual anatomy. They have a series of videos. It is not too much of a stretch to imagine couples actually performing live or on video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGS98eSsdvw

I think what’s envisioned is more of the “if 20 people are in a room, the odds that two of them will share a birthday is 50-50” effect. You’re a woman who’s going to be CEO of Megacorp Incorporated, and there are thousands of people who are interested in that, and 80% of those people watch porn, and 20% watch a LOT of porn, so the odds that one of them will recognize you from one of the scenes you did back in 2017 start to add up.

But even then it’s not 100%. Your appearance might be different, you probably used a stage name, there are billions of porn clips out there, and only so much time any one man can jack off.

Challenge accepted!!!

I looked it up. She is pretty talented…

There was one young lady I saw an interview with who said that her porn had cost her a couple of jobs but she was a bit of a “name”.

In terms of the average “does a scene or two and that’s it” person being recognized, figure an equation with three variables.

  1. How many women are doing this?

  2. How many women do you know?

  3. How much porn do you watch?

The higher the numbers in each response the greater the odds of you seeing someone in life whom you’ve also seen on the screen. If an infinite number of monkeys, etc. etc.

But, of course, a high number to question 3 might mean a lower number to question 2. And there is also the issue of not so much looking at the faces.

Business Insider has an article which may be of interest: 12 Former Porn Stars Who Now Lead Boring, Normal Lives.

Okay, so why isn’t there a TV series based on the former porn star who now “runs her own business as a licensed private investigator and bounty hunter”?

Buttin’ in here (pun intended) but WHY must people apologize for sounding prudish? and why is it looked down upon? Shouldn’t we, in this day and age find prudishness refreshing? Thinking about starting a “we’re prude! not rude! get used to it!”

Seems every internet comment board, forum, blog people have to bare their souls and expose their deepest convictions to “prove” they’re not prude. What gives- and who ARE these people that need convincing, anyway?

By the way, in re: to the OPs original post I have wondered the very same about these amateur porn people and what’s up with that. I do not think it’s ok, at least not in MY family it would be a no no to appear in any porn amateur professional or any kind. In fact in my life living on planet Earth there are very few families that ARE ok with it.

I knew a couple girls who did really cheap porn, amateur I guess you could call it? they were both group home girls- didn’t have the mom, dad, grandparents that we imagine as part of a “lovely family unit”. One of the girls was abused by her own biological father since the age of 6, so I guess the old story of the molested girl turning to porn is true. The other one had a miserable family so there is no family to worry about the shame, so there’s that.

Too risky – even a fraction of a percent error rate translates to dozens of chances to get your ass sued off.

I believe that the vast majority of “amateurs” are being paid. They’re amateurs only in the sense that they aren’t full-time porn actors. And the vast majority of “free” porn sites are infringing copyrights of material that was made for money. Very little of what you see is truly being done for free.

Scratch a prude, find a censor, that’s why. Prudes are rarely content to confine their distaste for sexuality to controlling what they personally see, read, etc. They’ve alway got to get their hands in other people’s faces, eventually. So non-prudes view prudes with deep suspicion and distrust. As we should.

Lot of them in real estate. He wasn’t mentioned, by Harry Reems of Deep Throat was also in real estate. It probably helps that most estate agents are considered independent contractors. If someone is not paying you a regular salary, maybe they are less likely to worry about your past.

No.

I didnt read every post here but a few things jumped out at me, allow me to to offer some first hand observations. I have been in the adult industry for more than 20 years and I specialize in the “amateur” genre.

#1 there is no such thing as free porn…no matter how much you may wish to fool yourself everyone is making money on it. the couples who film it, even the tubesites offering it for free.

most of the “amateur” scenes on those tubesites are stolen not as in from someone sock drawer but as in off the girls for profit website or mine.

and you are paying for them, pornhub and similar sites are mining all sorts of private data from you everytime you use it and they are selling that data and they are selling you as traffic and as was noted advertising but the real money isnt the advertising its the selling of the site visitor and his/her info.

To the OP’s question thats much more complex.

First you can’t conflate your morality onto someone else these days. so toss the morality arg out the door right off the bat.

by and large the age group that I am looking for to be in my product is 20-30 thats an age group where the average pay for a single boy girl scene can be a minimum of 80 hrs working a regular job…all in 2 hours for doing something they ae all already doing anyway.

There is a much much less guilt associated with sex these days so a lot of the girls doing it dont have a shred of regret or guilt about it.

Given these things the biggest single factor I run into is that it is validation that she is still pretty. The number of girls I shoot that were cheerleaders, homecoming court and the like is very very high these girls get out of high school and into college and they go from being in the “in crowd” to being a nobody and in a society these days where attention is synonymous with success its instant validation.

another factor is that its an easy way to get things that they want and get them quickly, this ties to the money aspect but if you are raising a daughter these are things you da,mn well better be paying attention to.

then comes daddy issues…the high rate of divorce these days translates into abandonment issues usually right at the moment that it has the most psychological effect. I can say without fail that no matter what the other reasons there are always daddy issues. In many cases as I develop friendships with these girls I become the surrogate daddy…this was especially true when I owned and managed a strip club. I tried to do right by them, encouraging then to get an education, health insurance, pursue their interests and give them relationship and common sense advice…many times I am telling them the same thing that their mom and or dad is but coming from me it seems to carry more weight…and thats because unlike mommmy and daddy I NEVER EVER lie to them…I dont tell them fairy tales about santa claus, religion, toothfairy and if they need to lose a few pounds I tell them the truth. This may sound insensitive but I could write a book on the good things that have happened because of it. In the end its the one thing I think should be the teachable moment in all of this dont lie to your kids, ever, about anything, if you expect them to trust you when they get older don’t betray that trust for 15 years and then expect them to suddenly believe that NOW you are being honest.

BTW I do speak on this topic and in most cases will do so for expenses, so if youd like me to spea to your church group, civic organization or whatever contact me via email. believe me I know where parents make mistakes that make it easy for daddys little snowflake to justify doing porn, and once they do it once, its a hundred times easier the second time.

Good post Mike

I was with you till Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. These are pretty innocuous fibs most kids in the western world hear about. I doubt that’s driving little girls into the porn business.

They’re FIBS?!?? But that woman with the webcam still loves me, right?
