You want a heating and A/C repair service. Here’s a CitySearch link for Oklahoma City to get you started:
http://oklahomacity.citysearch.com/yellowpages/directory/Oklahoma_City_OK/60/566/page1.html
A heating and air conditioning technician. (as opposed to a plumber or electrician)
Be careful, the repair can very quickly approach the cost of *replacing the unit, *especially this time of year. Many stores have lowered the prices for these units to be rid of them. They do not want to own them over the winter.
Get a hard quote for the repair, and shop for a new unit so you know what a replacement will cost. You can easliy spend more money on the repair than what it would have cost you for a new unit. That is why not all A/C companies want to mess around with window units.
thanks, spoilervirgin and raindog.
for some reason, i just couldn’t get the ol’ brain working on this one and you got me going in the right direction.

A window A/C heat unit would be better known as a heat pump. An HVACR or mechanical contractor would be a good start.
As “raindog” points out, be careful before going the repair route. A lot of window units were produced in such mass quantities that quality and durability suffered. Making a repair of an aged unit may set you up for more repairs later on. In other words, it may not have been built to last in the first place so you may be throwing good money after bad money.
Also, consider that a new unit may be more efficient, quieter and have some features like a remote control that can prove useful. Your old unit could have mold in it which means that any repair should include a thorough cleaning. The arithmetic can change very quickly.
