Thinking about the recent movie Iron Man 2 I was wondering, while a flying, robotic, armed battlesuit would pretty obviously be seized by the government, who decides on the little stuff? It’s easy to imagine the Iron Man suit and President Obama personally giving the order “Confiscate it, we have to have it.” but what about someone who comes up with a really spiffy new, more effective but not miraculous night vision goggle. Is there some bureaucrat in charge of deciding the minutia? Who exactly are they answerable too? (if anyone)
