Still in bad taste.
Also 93: Angela Lansbury.
Actually, #1 on my list is Orenthal James Simpsons. I will do a NAKED Happy Dance when he dies.
Let us share a moment’s silence for the passing of that giant of modern media, whose very presence defined a generation’s outlook on life:
Ric Flair’s been in and out of the hospital (he’s in at the moment, it seems) a lot over the last few years. In a occupation with guys regularly dropping under age 30, he’s positively ancient at 70, and he’s literally survived a plane crash. I don’t look forward to it, but won’t be surprised when the Nature Boy gives his final “WOOOOOOO” and goes strutting through those pearly gates.
Johnny Depp. He seems to have gone off the deep end.
All of them are on my themed death pool list so they’re probably safe for the rest of this year ![]()
I think Depp was born off the deep end. Ditto Tom Cruise.
ETA: I’ve heard that Billy Joel is not in good shape, but that could just be scuttlebutt.
Don’t know if anyone’s said it yet, but Betty White. She’s either gonna outlast us all or die before 2020 ends.
Jimmy Carter or the Queen
I mean, those are major celebrities and they have had huge lives.
Bob Barker (95)?
Charlie Sheen is another one.
Plus he’s got HIV, granted he’s rich enough that like Magic he could throw enough money at treatment and never wind up with full blown AIDS. But he’s crazy enough that he could just forget or think he’s cured or invulnerable or something.
Over the weekend, one of my FBFs posted a meme about how hospitals should name themselves after celebrities who refuse to die, like Keith Richards. I replied that I probably wouldn’t want to go to that hospital, but the Betty White Clinic? Sure, why not?

One wonders how the media will respond to this. I’m guessing that network TV at the very least will break in, the way one channel did when Whitney Houston died, and be equally criticized, as will CNN for televising the funeral.
:dubious:
Supposedly not as rich as you’d expect. The story is that he earned a lot on Two And A Half Men (several hundred million dollars) but spent most of it quite literally on hookers and blow.

Sorry, I’m going to have to have a pretty convincing cite before I’ll believe that one actor could possibly earn even $100 million from a single show, much less “several hundred million.” Take the “hundred” out of that statement and I might buy it.
Tina Turner is in a bad way. I read that she’s reached the stage where she’s planning her own funeral.
Well, Ike did beat Tina to death (one of the best NY Post headlines ever)
