Those two propositions are why I picked this username 
I think GD is for people that like to argue. It’s too dense in there.
I’ve learned a heck of a lot about a large number of issues by reading GD, but I hesitate to post there. I agree with the posters who’ve said it’s 1) way too much time to prepare an intelligent post, and 2) woe be unto you who makes an error.
I’m just weary of threads that go like this:
OP: Christians - why do you believe blah blah blah…?
Christian: Well, according to the Bible, in bookchapterverse, it says “yadda yadda yadda”.
OP: Ah ha! But the Bible was made up by men and there is no God!
Christian: …
I exaggerate (a bit), but you get the idea.
Actually I really feel stupid in GD. Not only that, I feel like I turn into an asshole when I post in GD - I really try to be nicer than that in real life. 
Luckily, I don’t post there too often. I also limit myself. Perhaps someday I’ll figure out how to keep from posting like a snide jerk too, but the temptation to participate is too great.
