Who else hasn't been to the doctor for a very long time?

I’m mid 30’s, probably the last time I went to see a doctor was to get a physical for my coop-education job in college, that was about 1990. Before that, it was probably another 10 years or more.

I don’t feel bad, I’m slender, I eat reasonably healthy. I’m sure I need to exercise more but I have good natural muscle tone.

Don’t really see the point in going, but I know I need to start in the next 10 years or so. I have a family history of cancer.

I’m 27 and can’t remember when I’ve been to the doctor besides a common STD/AIDS test many years ago when I started being sexually active (clean, btw). I’ve never broken any bones, been to the ER, or been sick enough to require hospital care knock on wood.

On a negative note, I also haven’t been to the dentist in quite some time either. I need to go, but don’t have dental at my work. Plus, I’m lazy and don’t have any major dental problems - that I know about. Being poor isn’t helping.

I haven’t been to the dentist either. I went 5 or 6 years ago because I thought I had a cavity, they took x-rays and said it was just a sinus infection. My teeth aren’t bad, I had several fillings in the molars when I was in my 20’s.

It was 25 years between doctor visits for me, then I went because I had hearing issues. They couldn’t do much about that, but the found my goiter, and I had to go on thyroid hormones. Last year I had the thyroid out because it had grown so large I was having trouble swallowing. And she guilted me into having a mammogram. And I decided to see if something could be done about the migraines. Getting old sucks. Still, it’s been almost a year since I went last.

I haven’t gone to a doctor in years. Jesus told me I didn’t have to.

Been to the gynecologist, eye doctor, dentist on a reg basis…just not a GP. Am 23 btw.

Don’t wait too long…you never know.

This is me exactly - except I’ve never had an STD test, last time I went to the doctor was when I was knocked off my bike 6 years ago, and that was only a brief check for concussion (I didn’t seem to have any). Before that, I think it was to have some warts frozen off at the age of about 12. I’m 22, male.

You know you’re getting old when you think one year without a doctor is doing well :).

I go about every 5-6 years. When I do go, it’s because I might have an ailment that I am not quite sure of, and I usually seek a diagnosis, but usually don’t opt for the treatment.

For example: About six years ago I went because of some headaches, and it turned out that I had a sinus infection and the doc prescribed antibiotics, which I opted not to take. I advised the doctor I would not take them. Of course she asked me why I came to the doctor, and I explained it was the diagnosis I wanted. I asked her about the infection and she begrudgingly admitted that since I were healthy otherwise, I should be able to get over the infection, but it would be shorter with antibiotics.

Four years ago when I took a new job, my employer said I had to get a physical, so I did. That was the first time in years. That being said, this guy is great if I find that I need meds or whatever, I email him saying what I need and he calls my pharmasist.
