Who gets all the gas increase profits?

Gas here is up nine cents over the last two days. $1.63.9 a gallon at the cheapest place we have. The sellers profit margins haven’t changed I’m sure. Who is reaping the whirlwind?

The front page of CNN has a link to a story about this very topic. It seems that the wholesalers and retailers stand to profit here.

Wholesalers and retailers alike seem pretty shameless about robbing us all when there’s even a whiff of unrest in the oil distribution system. Isn’t it bizarre how quickly the increases move through the pipeline, and how slowly the decreases do the same? I guess the increases must use a different pipeline, a faster one maybe…

But you can bet they have the same type of methods of showing it on their books, just in reverse, if you get my drift.
