Who here has messed around with the Korg Triton Studio?

Looking to up my game in the beat making world. For fun, not for profit. But at the same time, I want the best, with simplicity. I pretty confident around my Roland MC-909 (Music Workstation), but I feel that it lacks in certain areas. I’m looking for opinions on the Triton Studio, and maybe some other Tritons. Are you happy with it? Is it straight forward? I was able to play around with one at a local music store, but I didn’t really get deep into it, like I wanted to.

I know that the Triton is an industry standard, but I want to hear from some folks here who have used it. I tend not to rely too heavily on website ratings and reviews, only because I feel that a lot of it is hyped from the companys themselves.

I’ve only got as much experience as you on it, or so it sounds.

But, I think the price on the Triton Studio either has gone down or will go down soon, at least a little bit, due to the release of the new Triton Extreme.

Also, if you’ve got a keyboard that you already love, what things about it do you feel it lacks? Since a huge part of the cost of these things is the actual physical keyboard, maybe a software sequencer/arranger/synth like Reason might be a good option, as well as a cheaper one.

Hey ParentalAdvisory,
I’m just curious what kind of music you make and if you have any available?
