Some people really are single-issue voters.
There is a guy at my parent’s retirement home, when asked if he is still happy he voted for Trump, says “My investments are up”. Even after his grandson got deployed for the Venezuela “operation”.
I imagine it is the same for voters that want to control the Supreme Court. They’ll hold their noses and suffer through high gas prices to restrict abortion.
Some people really don’t care about the complicated stuff: corruption, weaponizing DOJ, purging departments, frivolous lawsuits, etc. It doesn’t affect their daily lives so they tune it out.
