  1. I am greatly amused (and pleased) by the number of people who are saying in this thread that they will not be joining whose names are now followed by “Member.”

  2. I am NOT amused by some who still seem to need a kick in the pants, like Life on Wry, Buckleberry Ferry, and Dinsdale, the last of whom seems to want to abandon the OTHER Democrat from Hydeland.

Tee hee. When I ask old Henry to recommend my son for West Point, you don’t suppose he’ll hold it against me that I routinely boo him at the Lilac and 4th of July parades in our respective towns, do you?

This is how “the glass is half full” guys like me differ from you “half empty” guys: I see Henry as having mellowed since his wife died so I settle for a stony silence where 20 years ago I went with the booing. But I felt real sorry for the guy who owned that convertible Henry rode in at the last Lilac parade, what with Henry sitting on the folded top. Its frame must be totally bent out of shape.
