I long time ago I remember reading a book on european history that mentioned a man called “Stephan the Stubborn.” During WW2, Stephan organized a standoff with the Germans who were invading Poland by digging a trench around an entire neighborhood. He apparently suceeded in holding off the german army for a long period of time with very few men.
Question: Was I dreaming of reading this, because I can’t find anything on him, and no ones I know has ever read about him…
Stumped.
