I’ve heard a story about an actor who, if you told him that you’d seen a particular film of his, would reach in his wallet and give you a ten spot. Anybody else ever heard this? Who was the actor and what was the film?
This sounds like Bill Murray, but I could be totally wrong.
I’ve heard it about George Clooney, after he played Batman.
So the actor was refunding your ticket price, I guess.
Harlan Ellison, when anyone handed him one particular book of his for autographing, would ask how much them how much they paid for it and would buy the book back at that rate.
