I had a thread abour smart people, but now I want to know about athletes. And you have to know them PERSONALLY, i.e., if you called them up and just gave them your first name, they’d know who you were.
Anyway, I had a cousin who played football for the University of Michigan, and almost made the team for the New York Jets (he was in the final cut). My brother was also a member of Team Brooks (the shoe company)- that means he was was a real good runner.
Well, I guess I could go with my friend who was MVP of football, basketball and track and is on the track team at stanford. He would play football too, but he’s 5’9" or so and was a WR in high school.
Or I could go with my friend who plays field hockey for a D1 school (I think there on a FH scholarship) and could easily play in a pro league (if not for the fact that she’s female).
I know some pro athletes (2 American Football, 1 soccer, 2 minor league baseball), but none of them are the best athlete I’ve ever known. That would be an old college roommate of mine, who was a gymnast, played football, and is still an expert skier. Floyd could do just about anything he wanted, sports-wise. I suspect his professional options were pretty limited by his size, tho…he was about 5’ 6", and probably weighed no more than 150#, all of it solid muscle. He’s an orthopedic surgeon, now.
I guess that would be Jessica DeGlow. Olympic swimmer. She didn’t do to well this last olympics though… poor girl. We graduated from highschool together.
