Maybe it is an unresolved personal issue with your “used to be” girlfriend that makes you claim that the Jewish population in the U.S. have control over the media and government. U.K.
It depends, is it an accusation that one ethnic group has somehow gained control over the nation and is using that control to harm other ethnic groups? Furthermore, is the claim untrue? And to put the icing on, is the claim virtually identical to centuries of slanders directed at that ethnic group? If so, then it’s racist.
Note I say that the statement is a racist statement, not that the person making it is necessarily a racist person. A person can be uninformed, a statement cannot be.

Admittedly the last statement is largely true, but they’re both still quite racist.
In fact, it has a tendency to incite said issues.
