This is killing me, and I need the name of an actor that I am picturing in my head so I can tell a friend that her internet dating match reminds me of him.
The guy seems to be about average height, and average weight (for an actor). He is probably in his 40’s. He has swarthy skin, dark hair and eyes. I think his hair is always cut in fractions of an inch longer than a crew cut and generally combed forward. His teeth strike me as being a little too big.
He is never a leading man, but you have definitely seen him in a supporting role. He often (always?) plays some kind of sleazy guy - an agent, a salesman, the ubiquitous slimy friend in a comedy movie. Sorry, I can’t think of what movie in particular he appeared. I had thought Swingers, but I didn’t see him in the cast list.
If you could just think of one place you’ve seen him, that’d help. I’m usually quite good at character actor identification, but that ain’t enough to go on.

And, no, not Steve Buscemi either. For what it’s worth, the guy I am thinking of has straight teeth that have never given me nightmares because of a closeup shot of his mouth (the only scary part of Armageddon!)

I remember Hart Bochner because I recognized him from an early role without having to use IMDb. You don’t get that feeling of accomplishment much anymore. (Had it again last week when I recognized Robert Hirschfeld in Dirty Mary Crazy Larry.)
