Who is this Satan fellow?

[OP]Hmm…who’s that goat-legged fellow? I like the cut of his jib.

[Smithers] Er, Prince of Darkness, sir. He’s your eleven o’clock. [/Smithers]

Centered in the kingdom was God flanked by Satan to his LEFT and Michael to the right. Lucifer supposedly Gods most treasured Creation. Under Lucifers charge were all things of wonder and beuty. Under the charge of Michael were those things righteous and Glorified.
And that worked until God made us in His own image. Giving his previous treasure the boot so to speak. To add insult to injury I recall being taught that the rebellion happened when God was admiring his accomplishment and asked for a “round of applause” if you will. When the Angels were told to behold the humans and bow to their glory Lucifer refused as he found that act would be disrespectful to his love for God as an Archangel he bows to only the Glory of God. At which point Michael became enraged by his disobediance and there you have it. So Satan is in hell but his hell us.

I have to step in here and threadjack a bit - and warn you about using absolutes in GD threads. Not every religion has a version of “Satan.” Though many have gods that compete with each other, and many have gods of death or murder and other fun stuff, that doesn’t make them a satan - they are generally still worshipped as other gods, and not in an evil sense. Many religions don’t have a good vs. evil construct.

Well Wearia there are all sorts of lesser imps and demons, but the great Satan hisself is red and scalely with a bifurcated tail and carries a hayfork.

wow

What is the source of this story? I don’t remember it from the Bible.
