Who knows about educational grants for older women?

I live in California, and I want to learn to code. I am 50. (Or 110010, in binary.)

There must be grants for women going (back) to college, in computer science, etc.

Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction?

First things first—file a FAFSA. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. It’s one-stop shopping, because the application goes to the state and the feds all in one fell swoop.

Since the OP is looking for advice, let’s move this to IMHO.

Back in the day I remember going to a particular dept. (but can’t remember what it was called) at the university to look up what grants were available for women. One in particular for older women was from Lady Clairol. There were several from sources a person wouldn’t ordinarily think of.
Wouldn’t Student Advisors know where grants can be researched?

Is there a public university anywhere near you? If so, their Financial Aid Department can help you.

Call or email them to set up an appointment. A financial aid advisor should either know which grants are appropriate for you or could direct you to resources that will show you grant and loan opportunities that you’re competitive for.
