Since February 12, 1988.
The weather, the water, the political climate, the quirky characters, the friendly people, the excitement of downtown, California poppies growing in the sidewalk, the accessible public transportation, Pier 7, my Victorian apartment building, the fountain in Justin Hermann Plaza, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
The weather, rats, aggressive panhandlers, dirty streets, the Tenderloin, and when I have to wait too long for public transportation.

Getting slapped in the face while walking across Powell Street? When I took my boss to Pier 7 to show him my favorite place, and he ended up getting into a fight with a fisherman? Meeting one of my favorite actors in my local grocery store? Accidentally leaving my VCR on top of a newspaper box, and going back to find it still sitting there?
