Who loves their iBook?

I’ve finally taken the plunge and ordered myself a sexy new 12-inch iBook from Apple. After a bit of deliberation, I decided to go for the 900mhz version with the combo drive and some extra RAM (it’s up to 256mb now).

So who owns one of these gorgeous little machines, and how happy have you been with them? Any heartwarming stories of love for your little white buddy?

I’m really looking forward to playing around with iTunes and iPhoto, and the very next thing on my wish list is an iPod…yay, I can hardly wait!

I don’t have an iBook, but I do love my G4.

I do envy you your iBook, though! Sounds fabulous! I do think that you need more than 256 MB of RAM, though. 512 would be better. You can get that later. Just enjoy your iBook. I wish you much iBook joy!

And don’t forget to buy some tunes from the Apple Music Store. I’m always finding something there that I simply must have…

I loove my iBook (well, it’s my company’s, I have a TiBook at home), it’s kind of old, though. It’s so little, it feels like I’m carrying nothing at all (nothing at all, nothing at all)! It’s very sturdy, too.

We have wireless in my office and at home, so I can carry my little iBook around, open, and still be connected.

I do everything from Photoshopping to listening to iTunes to programming.

I love my iBook. It’s been my primary computer since I got it new in March of '02. Still works as well as it did the day I got it.

The 14 inch screen is great for watching DVDs, it’s good for taking to the library and typing papers, iTunes is my favorite mp3 player ever, I like both os X and 9.2…

I’ve had a few issues with it, but overall it’s a great machine.

I love my powerbook. But I slipped and fell while holding it a few weeks ago and busted up the plastic around the CDR/DVD drive! I’m so sad. Luckily the whole thing works fine (I just can’t get a CD in, due to the messed up plastic). I have to wait until I find a job before I can pay to get it fixed… I love the machine though! Oh yeah and wireless internet rocks!

I second yosemitebabe on the PowerBook. But I do love the iBooks too. You just can’t go wrong with either one.

Haven’t used iPhoto that much since I work with RAW format images mostly and manipulate them with Photoshop instead, but iTunes flat rocks!

Enjoy!

I DO!

I just got mine a few months ago, and already I can’t imagine how I got along without a computer for so long. It’s been years.

I especially like having access to all those open source, originally designed for Unix, programs. Yay Fink and OS X!

I’ve had a couple of ibooks… Started out with a 500 mhz one - it was SO great… It did everything I ever wanted… plus it was TOUGH… I swear I could have dropped it four feet and it would have worked just like normal… It was probably my favourite Mac ever…

Then got seduced into buying a tibook… I figured if the ibook was so wonderful, the tibook would be better…

The tibook was the worst Mac I ever owned… It looked gorgeous, but it was a total lemon… went back and forth to Apple at least five times to get fixed in the first few months… I decided I preferred an ibook

So I sold it and bought another iBook - a 900 mhz, combo drive… I’ve added some memory, so it now has 640… It’s a GREAT computer… good for everything… You’ll love it…

I’ve been using my 14" iBook for a year now (graduating from an old iMac), and I absolutely love it! All my files are finally portable, and in a light-weight machine to boot. For added pleasure, just add an airport card and find a compatible location.

I use my wife’s slightly older 800mhz model when she lets me. Until last week, it was also our primary DVD player (I just splurged $70 for a Costco DVD player) and I still like hanging out in rare quiet parts of our home (I have two young 'uns) with headphones indulging in a good movie.
The iBook is simply great. It reminds me of my iPod, in that both using it and interfacing with it transforms excellent design into a tangible. I think your 900mhz should be powerful enough for most typical computing. Enjoy!

ibook good. ibook wonderful. pretty little ibook.

yep, i like my ibook.
