I don’t know what country you live in, but in civilized countries, we believe in evidence, facts and logic, not convicting people of crimes based on someone’s say-so.
Also, I’m fairly cynical about people, but I think better of women than to think most of them are potential false witnesses, and I think better of men than to think most of them are rapists.

I spent a lot of time growing up on the lower east side with a bunch of Hasidic Jewish shopkeepers and maintained the etiquette you were talking about until it was pointed out to me that people were noticing that I didn’t extend my hand to women to shake their hand. So, I corrected a habit that was appropriate in the lower east side but not in the conference room and started shaking everyone’s hand regardless of their genitals. Now you’re telling me that I am forcing myself on these women?
Yeah, why does this board forget everything they know about trolls? It is far more likely that she doesn’t believe anything that she is saying than she is that screwed up in her thinking. Someone who actually thought like her would not be able to figure out how to post here.
Going to the police would not accomplish their goals of protecting women by informing then of the university’s decision that these are rapists. The only way it would is if there was some sort of prosecution, and that isn’t going to happen if the victims aren’t willing to go forward.
If the university is filing allegations as if they are facts, that’s their own problem. If they don’t let the accused even offer their own version of events, that’s their own problem. If they are actually acting in lieu of the court system, they need to offer the basic features of one.
I can’t imagine ever seeing an official mark that someone has been decided as being responsible for a rape and not responding with the ire these women did. I put the blame not on them but on the university. The only question is if it’s just something like that, or if they are actually helping cover up rapes.
It should be in the university’s best interest to avoid any appearance of impropriety on this subject. The women can only be blamed if they are making things up.

I disagree with a piece of your premise. She’s rarely boring, sometimes monotonous and always stupid, hateful and ignorant.
But not boring. 
I gotta give her credit. I see a lot of stupidity that is potentially contagious. But ZPG, her insane stupidity is just so far out there that Birthers, Moon Landing Hoaxers, anti-caxxers, and 9/11 and Newton truthers seem sane in comparison. All those ideas have taken hold and have found followers - have any of ZPGs? So to her credit, she is not a stupidity disease vector.
The simplest progressive solution would be to institute single sex colleges, with forbidding old biddies patrolling the buildings as bulldogs to make sure no men had penetrated.
Because older, more dominant women never sexually abuse younger, weaker willed women. Or if they do, it’s okay. Like in the Vagina Monologues.

I haven’t listened to Cohan’s interview with Diane Rehm, but his Daily Show appearance was…interesting.
He also thinks people shouldn’t be allowed to write bad reviews of his books before they’ve had time to read them properly and implies that he should be able to sue them for it.
