Until earlier this week, there was a pool table at the residence I live in. It’s iffy whether we “owned” that pool table or not, as we didn’t buy it but got it from a relative who moved and didn’t have room for it. We basically never used it ourselves, but people who came over would use it occasionally. There really wasn’t enough room anyway. We ended up giving it to some friends who paid to take it away. If the original owner wanted it back, I don’t know what sort of claim they have on it, but they are mutual friends of the people who are now in possession anyway.
For my money, one of those tabletop shuffleboard tables is the deal to have. If you have a pool table, some pool shark is just going to ruin it for everyone else.
