A simple question, but unfortunately google failed me. My wife thinks it’s Adam Savage, but I’m not convinced.

The footage in question is here, for anyone who’s interested. Seems more like the kind of thing they could talk Jamie into doing, rather than Adam. He’s such a goofball. OTOH it could be neither of them.

Looking at a still of the face close up, it doesn’t look like either one of them. Hard to tell with all the makeup, but usually there’s some resemblance to the actor beneath.
The voice kind-of sounds like Adam, but I can’t really tell through that accent. I doubt it’s Jamie - I don’t think they could have hidden his mustache 
I’m leaning toward “Neither of them.”
I’m voting for “neither” as well. Which means that it could be just about any of several thousand bit-part actors.
No way is it Jamie. 
I don’t think it’s Adam, either though. The voice doesn’t seem anything like his (and I’m sure I’ve heard him do a wildly fake french accent on the show before).
I’m also voting for neither. There’s absolutely no way it’s Jamie, and I noticed that the actor playing Bigfoot has a fairly big gap between his front teeth, while Adam doesn’t appear to.

I’ve asked this question on the Mythbusters’ official forum at Discovery.com. Adam, Jamie and the rest of the crew actually do read and post there fairly often. As soon as I get an answer, I’ll post it here.

Sure, let’s go with that story. Actually just a fan who thought this would be a cool name. I know I’m not the only one - I’ve noticed a Bono Vox floating around on here, though not for a while now.
Looks like we have an answer from the Mythbusters forum! The actor’s name is Eric Edelstein, and he can be seen on this page getting ready for the shoot (scroll down a bit). Many thanks to Mythbusters fan, julian62, for providing this information.
